PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
To confirm your spot on a trip, BTJ requires a $1,000.00 USD per person deposit for all group trips. For private trips, deposits are $1,000.00 USD per person unless stated otherwise in your bespoke trip proposal.
Any promotions or gift certificates will be applied towards final payment of the trip, and not the deposit.
For group and private guided trips, BTJ will send a final payment reminder. Your outstanding balance is due 2 months (60 days) prior to your trip’s departure date. For any reservations made within 60 days of the tour’s departure, final payment is due at time of booking.
Failure to Complete Payment
If final payment is not received 60 days prior to departure, a late fee of $200.00 USD per person will apply. At 30 days prior to departure, your reservation is subject to cancellation.
Payments should be made in USD, and acceptable forms of payment include: Zelle Pay, Wire Transfer, PayPal, Stripe (credit/debit).
A $100.00 fee will be added to each reservation if you request an immediate refund and recharge to a different payment method.
Prices on our website are displayed in USD per guest, and includes all tax, service fees, and tips. Guests who wish to have their own room for certain trips may pay a Single Supplement. The cost varies depending on the trip and can be found on each tour page. BTJ will not provide price adjustments for arriving late or departing early from a tour. Once you confirm your spot on a trip, your price is guaranteed. BTJ offers discounted prices for booking groups of more than six riders together.
Unlike most tour services, the prices stated on our website are all-inclusive. Keep in mind that credit card payments will incur a 5% fee. Some wire transfers will incur a fee, depending on your bank. BTJ does not take any additional booking fees.
Cancellations + Transfers
The cancellation policies detailed below take into account the costs BTJ incurs pre-trip departure.
GROUP GUIDED TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY

If canceling outside of 30 days prior to departure, the full amount paid towards a group guided tour can be applied as Travel Credit to any available trips for the current or following season. This Travel Credit is valid within 400 days of cancellation. Once a Travel Credit has been applied to a trip, it is considered non-refundable. Guests may transfer this Travel Credit to another guest name one time.
If BTJ needs to cancel a tour for any reason (for the safety of our guests, staff, and partners), guests will receive 100% Travel Credit that can be applied to any guaranteed-to-run group tour. This Travel Credit must be applied to a tour that begins within 800 days of your tour’s start date. Guests may transfer this Travel Credit to another guest name one time.
ADDITIONAL FLEXIBILITY DURING COVID-19:
Due to the sudden international border restrictions that were put in place due to Covid-19: for all guests who had trips postponed in 2020, 2021, or 2022 due to the pandemic, amount paid will be transferred to Travel Credit, which can be applied to any guided or self-guided tour within 800 days of your tour’s start date. If international restrictions continue, this policy will also apply for all guests impacted.

DATE CHANGES TO PRIVATE TRIPS
Requests to change tour or date of an existing reservation will be accommodated based on availability. The guest is responsible for any additional cancellation fees incurred from hotels, flights, etc. One date change per reservation is permitted.
